About the Service:

The Head to Health is an innovative mental health service providing a one-stop hub and mental health support for people aged 18 years and older.

This includes:

Job Overview:

The Mental Health Practitioner plays a key role in service delivery within Head to Health and will:

  • Deliver short- to medium-term interventions and conduct group work, comprehensive assessments, and care plans for people 18 years of age and over
  • Work collaboratively in service delivery, planning, and development
  • Participate in clinical review and quality-assurance processes
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of community partnerships with external stakeholders

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum + benefits

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A mental health-related degree and related registration along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the relevant field
  • Knowledge and experience in the provision of clinical mental health assessment and evidence-based interventions
  • Proven judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding assessment and care planning
  • A sound understanding of the public, non-government and private mental health systems and programs and associated non-mental health programs in a community setting
  • Demonstrated computer skills and ability to maintain clinical records
  • A proven understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality
  • A positive, solution-focused attitude with commitment to positively participate in service improvement activities and personal clinical growth
  • Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Eligibility to apply/currently hold a WWVP
  • Eligibility to hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
