Mental Health Specialist

Role OverviewThe Mental Health Practitioner will play a key role in the delivery of our services, working closely with clients to develop and implement personalized care plans. This will involve conducting comprehensive assessments, delivering evidence-based interventions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
The successful candidate will possess a mental health-related degree and relevant registration, as well as a minimum of 2 years' experience in the field. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver short- to medium-term, evidence-based interventions and conduct comprehensive assessments and care plans for clients 18 years of age and over
- Work collaboratively in service delivery, planning, and development
- Participate in clinical review and quality-assurance processes
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of community partnerships with external stakeholders
- Mental health-related degree (e.g. psychology, social work, counselling) and related registration along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the relevant field
- Knowledge and experience in the provision of clinical mental health assessment and evidence-based interventions
- Proven judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding assessment and care planning
- Sound understanding of the public, non-government and private mental health systems and programs and associated non-mental health programs in a community setting
- Demonstrated computer skills and ability to maintain clinical records
- Proven understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality
- Positive, solution-focused attitude with commitment to positively participate in service improvement activities and personal clinical growth
- Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWVP
- Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
