About the Role
The Mental Health Practitioner will play a key role in delivering high-quality mental health services at the Launceston Medicare Mental Health Centre/Head to Health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based interventions and conduct comprehensive assessments and care plans for individuals aged 18 and over
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver service delivery, planning, and development
- Participate in clinical review and quality-assurance processes
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of community partnerships with external stakeholders
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A mental health-related degree and related registration, along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the relevant field
- Knowledge and experience in the provision of clinical mental health assessment and evidence-based interventions
- Proven judgment and evaluation skills, demonstrating a working understanding of assessment and care planning
- A sound understanding of the public, non-government, and private mental health systems and programs, and associated non-mental health programs in a community setting
- Demonstrated computer skills and ability to maintain clinical records
- Proven understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality
- A positive, solution-focused attitude, with a commitment to positively participate in service improvement activities and personal clinical growth
- Well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Eligibility to apply for WWVP and NDIS worker screening clearance
