Strategic People Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic People Manager to lead our Human Resources function. As a key member of our Corporate Services Program, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organisational culture and driving initiatives that reflect our values, mission, and vision.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and people-focused HR professional to make a real difference in our organisation. You will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Human Resources function, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all HR activities, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement people strategies that drive business outcomes and improve employee engagement
  • Partner with senior leadership and stakeholders to achieve business objectives
  • Manage and develop a high-performing HR team, providing coaching and guidance to ensure their success
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in HR practices and processes
Requirements:
  • Hold appropriate tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field
  • Significant experience in HR leadership, preferably in a not-for-profit or community services sector
  • Demonstrated experience across all HR activity functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and learning and development
  • Proven ability to lead a team of HR professionals and drive business outcomes through effective people management
  • Sound knowledge of HR best practices and employment legislation, including Enterprise Bargaining Agreements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff at all levels
  • Experience in change management, organisational development, and supporting staff through periods of transformation
