Indigenous Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Indigenous Engagement Specialist to join our Engagement and CSR team at SBS. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders, including NITV, through ongoing engagement and consultation.
Key Responsibilities- Implement the engagement plan in line with our Community Impact Strategy
- Provide analysis of Indigenous policy matters and advice as necessary
- Sourcing research relevant to matters to inform SBS in relation to content, protocol and operational matters pertaining to First Nations Australians
We are looking for a skilled communicator from the Indigenous sector, with excellent networks, organisation and writing skills. You should have a strong understanding of Indigenous communities, cultures and protocols and an ability to communicate sensitively, respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
You will have demonstrable experience working within the Indigenous sector and/or within Indigenous Community, with strong interpersonal, influencing and relationship-building skills. You should also have strong organisational and administrative skills, as well as strong time management skills.
