Job Overview:

This is a senior leadership role that involves driving business growth and commercial success. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in leading the Commercial Acceleration Strategy team, acting as an internal management consulting team to solve complex strategic challenges.

As a Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy, you will be responsible for overseeing the Commercial Acceleration Strategy team and working closely with General Managers and Chiefs. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a strategic framework for addressing complex business challenges and drive solutions using robust data
  • Train, lead and mentor Analysts/Senior Analysts in the team. Foster a culture of best practice sharing and active contribution to the broader team
  • Act as a visible point of contact for senior leaders and provide concise answers to ad-hoc commercial questions
  • Collaborate with other divisions, including Pricing, Digital, B2B sales, Marketing, Ancillary Products etc.
  • Identify opportunities across commercial functions and lead cross-functional delivery of complex projects
  • Lead special projects and selected deep dives for value acceleration capture
  • Support preparation for ELT/Board updates
  • Interrogate and analyse data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities, and understand drivers of commercial performance using Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and other analytical tools.

To succeed in this role, you will require strong analytical skills, extensive experience in strategy, and confident communication skills. A bachelor's qualification in an analytical field, advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, and solid leadership experience are essential. You should also be able to build complex models, verbally answer complex questions under pressure, and deliver presentations to C-Suite stakeholders.
