Heavy Fabrication Role

We are seeking an experienced, trade-qualified Boilermaker for a permanent position within our workshop. The successful applicant will work on a diverse range of heavy fabrication projects for mining, construction, and infrastructure using advanced welding techniques and precision fabrication skills.

This role suits a team-oriented professional who can collaborate effectively with others while also delivering quality work independently. You will be expected to contribute to a positive, safety-focused workplace culture, support colleagues to meet project deadlines, and maintain high standards of workmanship across all tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform heavy fabrication work for mining, construction, and infrastructure projects
  • Use advanced welding techniques and precision fabrication skills
  • Work collaboratively with others as part of a team
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship across all tasks

Requirements:

  • Australian-recognised Trade Certificate in Boilermaking or Metal Fabrication
  • 5+ years' post-trade heavy fabrication and welding experience in mining, construction, or infrastructure projects
  • Advanced welding skills in MIG, TIG, Stick, and flux-core to AS/NZS standards
  • Proven ability to work with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium in both heavy-gauge and precision applications
  • Strong track record in reading, interpreting, and fabricating from complex engineering drawings with minimal supervision
  • Expertise in fabrication, plate work, heavy structural assemblies, and CNC applications
  • Commitment to safety leadership, hazard identification, and compliance with SWMS, JSA, and company safety procedures
  • Current NSW White Card, Driver's Licence
  • Proficient in overhead pendant crane operation
  • Desirable: Working at Heights, and Confined Space tickets, Dogman/Rigger, forklift, and EWP tickets
