Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Welding Quality Specialist to work on significant projects ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in welding activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing fabrication work packages, creating and managing inspection plans, selecting weld procedure specs, resolving welding issues, coordinating non-destructive testing, maintaining contract-required quality documentation, and addressing client queries.

About the Role:

  • Relevant Mechanical Trade or tertiary qualifications, Cert III or higher.
  • Weld Australia International Institute Welding Inspector - Basic Qualifications or similar.
  • Experience with Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminium materials.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Welding Supervisory or Leadership role.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings.
  • Strong management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Relevant Mechanical Trade or tertiary qualifications, Cert III or higher.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Welding Supervisory or Leadership role.
  • Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, strong management and organisational skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
