About the Role
Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is seeking a knowledgeable Aboriginal male with excellent verbal and written communication skills to fill the key leadership position of Aboriginal Cultural Advisor.
Located at the Ingkintye Men's Centre, the Aboriginal Cultural Advisor will provide advice, mentoring, and education to staff and management across all Congress services and programs.
This role is responsible for the continuous improvement of cultural safety, responsiveness, and knowledge to foster a strong organisational culture and optimise health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal people working in collaboration with the Female Aboriginal Cultural Advisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and guidance on cultural safety and responsiveness
- Mentor and educate staff and management on cultural awareness and understanding
- Develop and implement strategies to improve cultural safety and responsiveness
What You'll Need
- Knowledge of Aboriginal culture and history
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and management
