The Role

As an Archival Research Officer, you will play a vital role in establishing and maintaining our digital data base of written and audio-visual materials that are significant to our 50-year history. You will ensure that all items in the Congress Historical Collection are catalogued and managed according to archival best practice.

This position offers a unique opportunity to make a substantial contribution to enabling our community to access historical material relevant to their needs and interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive digital database of historical materials
  • Catalogue and manage the Congress Historical Collection according to archival best practice
  • Support the establishment of a digital repository for sharing historical resources

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of archival principles and practices

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position ranges from $74,470 to $82,855 per annum (prorata), plus district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, and estimated tax savings from salary packaging options. Our organization also offers six weeks' annual leave, generous salary packaging, and access to professional development opportunities.
