Senior People Development Manager – QLD

We are seeking an experienced and exceptional HR Business Partner to join our dynamic and talented HR team. This role requires a deep understanding of the retail landscape at MECCA, enabling you to assess, anticipate, recommend and drive forward-thinking people strategies and solutions that align with our business objectives.
This is a remote position based in either QLD or NSW, ideally within proximity to majority of our MECCA stores, as regular visits to our store teams will be essential. If you are based in NSW, regular travel to QLD/NT will be required.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex people matters autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Your ability to think strategically and apply a people-first approach to everything you do will be crucial to your success in this role.
- You will collaborate with the P&E Manager to develop, lead, and drive the People and Education plan, ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategic focus.
- You will identify risks and coach leaders to reach commercially sound, people-first solutions in managing complex people matters.
- You will support the timely execution of annual P&E activities, including Performance Reviews, Remuneration Review, Rate & Legislation Updates, and Casual Management.
This role involves regular travel to our QLD/NT store network, as well as multiple trips to Melbourne each year for our prestigious leadership conferences and strategy days.

- You will demonstrate strategic thinking capability, enabling you to contribute to planning and seamlessly execute those plans.
- You will have outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, negotiate, influence, and provide feedback in a collaborative and consultative manner.
In return, you can expect a competitive salary package, comprising a base salary of $130,000 - $150,000 per annum, plus superannuation and other benefits. Additionally, you will enjoy:
