Are you a talented and motivated individual with a passion for delivering quality, service and award-winning living solutions? Metricon Homes, a leading multi-award-winning new home builder, is seeking an experienced Display Draftsperson to join our Product Development team in Robina, QLD.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

As a Display Draftsperson, you will play a crucial role in completing the drafting documentation for our Metricon display homes from concept to handover.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  1. Producing drawings using Revit / AutoCad to support the stages of the workflow process to reflect the customer's requirements and to incorporate amendments required to obtain all relevant permits;
  2. Responding to critical customer needs as identified by your Manager;
  3. Inspecting the construction of new displays to mark up as constructed plans at key stages;
  4. Communicating and addressing variations and site minutes to rectify any on-site issues with relevant departments;
  5. Ensuring all display architectural documentation is completed as per design intent and within the allowed timeframes;
  6. Ensuring documentation reflects customer requirements, building codes, local authority and planning requirement;
  7. Ensuring you maintain a thorough working knowledge of the workflow information system to enable accurate and up-to-date reporting of job progress and forecast event dates;
  8. Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the company AutoCAD and Revit software and company procedures associated with their usage; and
  9. Handling multiple display centres and producing consistent results.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:
  • A Diploma in Building Design/Drafting/Construction or equivalent;
  • Minimum 2+ years in the residential volume home building industry;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time;
  • Ability to keep up to date with technological changes;
  • Sound knowledge of Building Regulations, Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards related to residential construction;
  • Sound knowledge of AutoCAD;
  • Sound knowledge of Revit;
  • A GREAT ATTITUDE.
