The Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in engaging, onboarding, and managing subcontractor relationships to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Reporting to the Delivery Partner Manager, this individual will be responsible for effective subcontractor management, ensuring accurate records are maintained and performing regular cadence of performance review meetings.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and excellent professional acumen and communication skills.

They will work closely with subcontractors to provide guidance on compliance evidence and activities, and generate reports and business analytics to monitor and manage subcontractor performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the Australian Road Freight Subcontractor Agreement meets required standards
  2. Establish and maintain a professional relationship based on shared values, trust, transparency, and partnership
  3. Manage, monitor, and review subcontractor compliance documentation in the TGE Contracts portal ensuring accuracy
  4. Participate in regular cadence of performance review meetings, ensuring accurate records are maintained
  5. Participation in event and incident investigation with Delivery Partner teams
  6. Actively work with Subcontractors to provide guidance with regards to compliance evidence and activities
  7. Ensure Contractor services are provided in keeping with relevant Freight Service Agreements
  8. Generate reporting and business analytics with regards to Subcontractor compliance and performance

Requirements:

  • Understanding of Heavy Vehicle Legislation and Regulatory requirements in transport
  • Strong analytical skills and capability to analyze data and identify factors in service agreement gaps
  • Proven problem-solving ability with a solutions orientation
  • Familiarity with KPI's and their use to monitor and manage
  • Strong professional acumen and communication skills
  • Natural leader able to build strong relationships at all levels and with key stakeholders
