Operating over 13,000 km of high-voltage transmission lines and 128 substations across NSW and the ACT, we connect electricity generators to the distribution network—powering homes, businesses, and communities.

The energy sector is evolving rapidly, and we're growing our workforce to drive innovation and transformation.

The Opportunity

We are committed to building a skilled workforce that is prepared for the challenges of Australia's changing energy system.

As a senior leader, you will shape how we develop the next generation of technical experts across our network.

You will lead a team of program managers and trainers, overseeing development programs designed to meet the technical needs of the business and wider industry.

This is a leadership role with broad influence: you will build partnerships with industry, regulators, and education providers, ensuring we continue to set the benchmark for technical training.

  • Oversee the design and delivery of technical development programs.
  • Collaborate with regulators, industry bodies, and vocational training providers.
  • Ensure all training is compliant, high-quality, and continuously improved.
  • Drive cultural uplift by embedding safety, capability, and excellence in every program.

About You

You are a senior leader with deep experience in technical training within the energy or utilities sector.

You combine strategic vision with operational excellence, and you know how to bring people along with you.

You are highly credible with regulators and industry partners, and you are passionate about building a safe and capable workforce.

You will bring:

  • Significant experience in leading large-scale training programs within electricity or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, RTO governance, and training accreditation.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to coach, inspire, and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including at executive level.

Our Values in Action

This role directly reflects our values:

  • Safety – by ensuring all training puts health, safety, and wellbeing first.
  • Achievement – by equipping our workforce to deliver on major projects.
  • Integrity – by embedding compliance, trust, and transparency into every program.
  • Service – by building skills that support reliable energy for our customers and communities.

We offer a well-rounded benefits package designed to support your personal, professional, and social wellbeing.

Employees have access to corporate discounts, novated leasing options, workplace flexibility, and more.
