**About the Opportunity**

The role of the training specialist is to ensure that technical training is effectively and consistently delivered across all Primary Connect distribution sites. Their goal is to equip all team members with the knowledge and skills needed to perform their jobs safely, effectively, and efficiently.
To achieve this, the training specialist collaborates with various safety, operations & workplace planning teams, and technical training delivery partners. They use learning design and development expertise to identify and implement effective learning solutions, which are regularly improved through iteration. To be successful, the training solutions must be compliant, conformant, delivered within budget, and aligned with the appropriate resources.

**About you**
You will be able to
- Engage stakeholders across all levels within the organisation with a focus on relationship management, collaboration and a business partner approach.
- Use all components of the Google suite to an expert level
- Solve problems using critical thinking, creative thinking, collaborative communication, resourcefulness and persistence
- Influence outcomes both vertically and horizontally
- Use best practice learning design techniques to innovate and build a learning culture through provision of fit for purpose learning initiatives and solutions
- Recognise, evaluate and champion new learning delivery and administration solutions being tested at individual sites and enable these to be implemented nationally
- Comfortably move between strategy and operational execution

**Key Responsibilities**
- Review and assess business critical positions/functions/workflows and define the processes and learning and development practices that will create sustainable levels of performance and productivity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and in cross functional project groups to understand and clarify training needs, create problem statements, gain insights from learners, develop success criteria, and identify and mitigate any constraints.
- Collaborate and work in partnership with the Safety and Compliance teams to deliver to the enterprise needs for both regulatory and compliance requirements
- Ensure the technical training delivered is aligned to the Primary Connect and Woolworths Group broader strategies, values, standards and practices.
- Reduce organisational risk by completing capability assessments and using the findings to recommend and complete required improvements to learning and development programs.
- Complete regular reporting and presentations to various stakeholders on agreed training activities highlighting work in progress, risks and mitigation and support required.
- Create guiding principles, learning delivery standards, implementation methodology, tools and templates to allow site training partners to provide a tailored and consistent training solution at each site, including their own training delivery and their support of the site workplace coaches
- Remove systemic blockers for site training partners
- Contribute to change management activities relating to project deliverables and iterative improvements
- Identify opportunities and problems, contribute insights and add value wherever you can across people capability
- Collaborate with, and contribute to, a passionate Chapter of learning professionals to ensure consistent and aligned learning experiences across the Woolworths Group ecosystem that leverage the scale of our organisation

**Desirable Experience**:

- E2E process review management including process reengineering to level 4, and process documentation on systems such as ProMap.
- Large scale transformation and change
- Design, implementation and delivery of technical training at scale for new operations
- Learning and development management experience in large sized commercially driven organisations
- Exposure to a heavily regulated customer focussed industry
