Technical Training Specialist - Various Opportunities

We have several full-time roles based at our Osborne site, including:
Technical Training Specialist - Electrical
Technical Training Specialist - Mechanical
Technical Training Specialist - Fabrication
Reporting to the Technical Training Manager, the Technical Training Specialist is responsible for the development and delivery of technical training in their discipline to apprentices at ASC Pty Ltd.
The incumbent will lead a small team of Technical Trainers and coach them in the development of course material and schedule planning for training classrooms and workshop facilities.
The role will include input to the performance management of the apprentices throughout their training contracts.
The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining competency records via the appropriate corporate processes.
The incumbent will work closely with the Trade Managers across SA to identify, target and prioritise training needs of staff, including the development of critical systems training packages using the appropriate tools, methods, and timing.
Responsibilities
Lead, motivate and develop a team of training professionals through coaching, mentoring, performance management and ongoing technical training
Support the Trade Training Timetables and apprentice rotations to deliver the required training outcomes while ensuring supervision ratios are met
Ensure all employees are appropriately licensed and hold the relevant tickets required to perform the work for their trade
Ensure all employees have access to the relevant training and complete all mandatory safety and compliance training on time
Drive a performance and safety culture by setting and monitoring standards and performance goals, and providing feedback
Budgetary management of consumables and resources for the electrical trade discipline
Ensure accurate data entry for all apprentice competencies into corporate systems to track progression
Manage and input data regarding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
About you
Trade qualifications in the respective discipline and a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment is desirable
Minimum 5 years of trade experience
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the Vocational Education and Training sector
Proven ability to develop training programs that provide the required training to meet skill and competency levels
Demonstrated experience working across various functional departments to foster relationships and influence/ negotiate at all levels
Proven ability to mentor and manage people, WHSE, quality systems and frameworks
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
Your eligibility for this role is dependent on obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
