Job Title: Asset and Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee workshop staff, facilities, and equipment.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills.
  • A proven track record in mentoring and developing teams is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of workshop operations, including staff management, facility maintenance, and equipment management.
  • Mentorship and development of team members to ensure they possess the necessary skills and certifications.
  • Collaboration with workshop managers to facilitate hiring, onboarding, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensuring staff proficiency in utilizing fleet software and managing machinery records.
  • Design and implementation of workshop support strategies, policies, and systems.
  • Monitoring and reporting on workflow efficiency, key performance indicators, and regulatory compliance.
  • Implementation of auditing and inspection processes for equipment and tooling.
  • Management of stock levels, stocktakes, and parts consumption records.
  • Promotion of timely servicing and maintenance of machinery and plant.
  • Development and implementation of fleet maintenance and repair plans.
  • Tracking and reporting of R&M spend versus budget and identification of discrepancies.
  • Recommendation of asset refurbishments, trades, or disposals to enhance reliability.
  • Submission and management of capital expenditure requests and approvals.
  • Fostering strong communication between operations and workshops.
  • Conducting regular meetings with operational managers to align on asset requirements.
  • Liaising with external service providers and suppliers.
  • Providing technical support for repairs and maintenance strategies.
  • Utilization of platforms like Etvia and EAM systems for reporting and action tracking.
  • Creation of presentations for achievements and strategic planning.
