Job Title: Forestry Asset and Engineering Manager

Description:

  • Oversee workshop staff facilities and equipment ensuring a high standard of performance.
  • Mentor apprentices to ensure all staff are certified trained and compliant with regulations.
  • Support workshop managers in the hiring onboarding process disciplinary actions maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Ensure staff competency in using fleet software managing machinery records optimising workflows.
  • Develop implement workshop support strategies policies systems enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Monitor report on key performance indicators KPIs compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Install auditing inspection processes for equipment tooling maintaining safety standards.
  • Manage stock levels inventory control parts consumption records streamlining logistics.
  • Ensure timely servicing maintenance of machinery plant assets reducing downtime.
  • Develop implement fleet maintenance repair plans improving asset reliability.
  • Monitor spend vs. budget reporting discrepancies ensuring financial accountability.
  • Recommend asset refurbishments trades disposals to enhance asset performance.
  • Submit manage capital expenditure Capex requests approvals.
  • Maintain strong communication between operations workshops fostering collaboration.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with operational managers aligning on asset needs.
  • Liaise with third-party service providers suppliers negotiating contracts.
  • Provide technical support for repairs maintenance strategies optimising resources.
  • Utilise platforms like Etvia EAM systems for reporting action tracking.
