About the Role

Gallagher Bassett is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead a dynamic team of dedicated staff who manage workers compensation claims. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting safe, timely, and durable return to work outcomes for injured workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Claims personnel with varying levels of experience within the workers compensation space
  • Mentor your team and provide coaching and professional support to ensure they reach their full potential
  • Analyse team performance trends and projections, and implement remedial action to resolve issues where required
  • Monitor service performance by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against goals, ensuring timely feedback, appropriate support, addressing performance deficiencies promptly, and recognising and rewarding exceptional performance
  • Contribute to shaping our culture through high levels of people engagement, recognising the importance of diversity, and increasing our people's satisfaction levels and having pride in our goals
  • Promote a culture which ensures compliance to our business processes is adhered to
  • Participate in workforce planning and recruitment activities
  • Identify areas of opportunity within your team and the business and take any action to improve outcomes for our customers and people
About You

We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated experience in team management/leadership, within a high-volume and fast-paced environment, or significant experience in delivering person-centred outcomes through management and coaching of staff. You will also have knowledge of general business and administrative practices and managing cost-effective business activities.

Additionally, you will have experience in managing performance through qualitative and quantitative metrics, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders. You will also have exceptional time management and organisational skills, a strategic mindset and approach to work, a strong sense of team and collaboration, and a resilient attitude.
