About Cocoon SDA Care

We provide support staff to NDIS-registered providers, offering a home-like environment for our participants to live independently and make lifestyle choices that suit their needs.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Team Leader to lead our team of disability support workers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day operations of our accommodation
  • Managing the accommodation budget and expenditure
  • Carrying out maintenance tasks as required
  • Liaising with allied health professionals
  • Effective management of rosters and staff issues
  • Monitoring the health and wellbeing of participants and staff
  • Organizing recreational activities for participants
  • Encouraging team and participants to meet their goals
  • Coordinating team meetings and coaching staff
  • Managing rosters and submitting progress reports
  • Coordinating meals, activities, and appointments
Additional Requirements

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Manual handling and personal care skills
  • Cultural skills and knowledge
  • Experience as a support worker
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Medication administration skills
  • Compliance knowledge (an advantage)

Mandatory Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent
  • First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling, and Medication Administration training or willingness to obtain
  • Current Driver's License
