Job Title: VIC Transport Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Transport Manager to spearhead the development and execution of transport planning and scheduling strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe, timely, and cost-efficient production and delivery of materials across all VIC Recycling sites.

The role requires strong leadership skills with influencing and communication abilities to drive results-oriented teams and foster a collaborative work environment. A proven track record in building and leading high-performing teams in fast-paced environments is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute transport planning and scheduling strategies in collaboration with Trading and Operational teams.
  • Lead the implementation of Transport and Logistics initiatives to ensure safe and efficient delivery of materials across all VIC Recycling sites.
  • Manage carrier and fleet performance to optimize operations and minimize costs.
  • Implement, monitor, and govern transport systems to ensure safety and customer compliance.
  • Identify and implement transport initiatives to ensure timely, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of products to and from customers and suppliers.

A strong understanding of logistics management principles, including experience in managing fleet and carriers, knowledge of vehicle types, capacity, load configuration, and load restraint, is required. Additionally, advanced stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills are necessary to deliver high standards on time and within budget.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of logistics management experience, preferably in transport planning.
  • Proven problem-solving and process improvement capabilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP, Weighbridge, and Waste Edge systems is advantageous.
