Estimating Leadership Specialist

The successful candidate will provide strategic estimating leadership and key client engagement across High Voltage Transmission/Substations and Renewables or Building Services projects. They will take on the role of Project Estimate Manager and undertake client-facing responsibilities during projects, and develop ongoing strategic client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end estimating process on a project, directing the production of Quantity Surveying/Estimating deliverables.
  • Be responsible for producing technical deliverables, applying industry experience autonomously with limited guidance.
  • Manage and deliver work across projects simultaneously.
  • Develop and implement the Project Execution Plan, including verification and review of procedures.
  • Identify and mitigate potential financial risks through proactive planning.
  • Forecast and assess costs, timelines, quality parameters, and constructability factors.
  • Participate in value management and risk workshops as a subject matter expert.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external project teams, technical leaders to plan, develop, deliver, and operate multidisciplinary projects.
  • Mentor junior QS/Estimators within your specialist discipline.
  • During bid phase, be responsible for bid preparation and/or management, running a bid team or providing input to a larger bid team.
Requirements:
  • Australian Citizenship is preferred, you will be based in one of our major city offices (Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney or Perth). Ideally, have a Tertiary Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Project Management, and experience in Quantity Surveying or First-Principles Estimating with a passion to lead and deliver high-quality projects.
