Job Opportunity: Estimating Expert

About the Position

A senior estimator is required to lead the estimating department and drive continued success in a leading builder with a diverse pipeline of projects.

  • Manage the full tender process across projects from $1m to $30m
  • Prepare accurate cost plans, budgets, and competitive tender submissions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
  • Conduct detailed trade breakups, scope reviews, and risk assessments
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth project handover and cost control
  • Identify and implement cost efficiencies without compromising compliance or quality
  • Drive continuous improvement in the estimating function, including systems and processes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the estimating team to achieve business objectives
  • Develop and maintain estimating tools and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
About You

You are a confident and experienced estimator who thrives in taking ownership of results. You will bring:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a construction estimator (commercial, industrial, or multi-residential)
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software and processes
  • Strong supplier and subcontractor networks in the region
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, implementing best practice processes
  • A commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction
