Job Overview

This role involves detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Australian construction practices and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare comprehensive BOQs to support estimation and tender submissions.
  • Review and interpret engineering documents, specifications, and plans.
  • Conduct markups and highlight key specifications.
  • Manage tenders and scope reviews using industry software.
  • Undertake subcontractor analysis and comparisons.
  • Collaborate with management to review and finalize estimates.
  • Ensure all estimates adhere to relevant Australian construction codes and standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the Australian industrial construction sector (non-residential).
  • At least 5 years of experience as a BOQ Surveyor or Estimator.
  • Proficiency in industry-specific software such as CostX and EstimateOne.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian building codes and standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred).
