Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for early age groups, programming, and documentation.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week at our Pakenham Centre.

About the Role

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for:

  • Aiding in the development of lifelong skills and instilling in children a passion for learning.
  • Working under the direction of the Room Leader to plan and implement quality programs for children that aligns with their individual strengths and interests.
  • Assisting with preparing and clearing up of activities.
  • Maintaining record keeping and documentation.
  • Ensuring the highest quality of service at the Centre.

You will work collaboratively as part of a team to enhance children's curiosity for learning and engage their interests in exploring the world around them.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with early age groups, programming, and documentation.
  • A willingness to learn and grow professionally.
  • The ability to be a natural leader and share your knowledge.
  • The ability to promote and advocate good health and treat every child's health as a top priority.
  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood/Children's services.
  • First Aid and CPR certification as well as Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification.
