Fire and Rescue Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Watchroom Operator to join our Fire and Rescue operations at Bandianna. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to enhance their career within the Emergency Services and Defence Industry or as a stepping stone to becoming a Firefighter.
Responsibilities:- Maintain operational readiness in accordance with Ventia guidelines.
- Respond to fire incidents and support communication with the Incident Controller.
- Assist the Fire Station Officer-in-Charge with administrative duties related to operations.
- Participate in training and development plans.
- Hold one of the following qualifications in each of the five categories:
- PUAFIR210 Prevent Injury
- PUAFIR215 Prevent Injury (Superseded)
- PUAFIR201B Prevent Injury (Superseded)
- PUAOPE013 Operate Communication Systems and Equipment
- PUAOPE013A Operate Communication Systems and Equipment (Superseded)
- PUATEA001 Work in a Team
- PUATEA001B Work in a Team (Superseded)
- PUACOM001 Communicate in the Workplace
- PUACOM001C Communicate in the Workplace (Superseded)
- PUATEA002 Work Autonomously
- PUATEA002B Work Autonomously (Superseded)
- Previous experience in communications room operations.
- Strong team orientation.
- Eligibility for Defence Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1.
- Australian Citizenship is required.
