Event Operations Supervisor Job Description

Catering HQ seeks an Event Operations Supervisor to run events at its venues in Sydney. This is a great opportunity to join our team.

Our Company Overview

We are a family-run company established in 1996 with 12 venues across Sydney. We strive for excellence and pride ourselves on having a dedicated team who love their work and environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Communicate with colleagues and management to solve problems and improve quality and service
  • Work with the team to execute functions and events for customers
  • Develop rapport with customers by learning their names, favourite drinks and food items
  • Understand and anticipate customer needs and aim to exceed these requirements
  • Provide exceptional quality, consistent service throughout the event
  • Assist in reaching business goals and objectives as set out by management
  • Set up and pack down of function spaces
  • Lead the team to work efficiently, ensuring perfect execution of the event from set up to pack down

Key Qualities Required
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent supportive and leadership skill set
  • Exposure to rostering and people development
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Professional, upbeat and friendly personality
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Positive and flexible attitude
  • Highest level of presentation and grooming standards
  • Fantastic people management skills and professional nature
  • Confidence to take charge and own the result, yet humble enough to listen and learn
  • Honest and results-focused - able to give and receive genuine feedback and take action as needed
  • Innovative - proven experience of genuinely implementing new ideas
