Care Team Leader Role

A fantastic leadership opportunity awaits an experienced professional to lead and manage a small team of direct care staff.

The role is based in Northam, but we are open to discussing other base locations. You will be responsible for ensuring quality care is delivered to our Package and CHSP clients across Avon coastal area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage employees to ensure best practice is followed and compliant with required policies and procedures.
  • Employee Performance Management: Manage and document employee performance issues.
  • Safety and Compliance: Lead and promote safe work culture to reduce safety incidents and loss time injury.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Maintain inclusive and effective communication with the team to ensure employees are aware of pertinent information.
  • Onboarding and Support: Ensure new employees have been provided with adequate knowledge of their role and responsibilities.
  • Administration and Reporting: Manage and authorise weekly/fortnightly timesheets.
  • Client Service Delivery: Respond to employee and client queries to ensure consistent and effective outcomes for the service delivery.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate suitable resources and implement support plans to ensure quality care is delivered.
  • Hazard Management: Document, report and action hazards and incidents to ensure safe work procedures are followed.
  • Document Integrity: Ensure the integrity of client documents and reports are correct, maintained and delivered.

About you:

  • Healthcare Experience: An understanding of health care within a community environment.
  • Leadership Expertise: Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve outcomes.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships, promote services and resolve client/staff issues.
  • Decision Making and Problem Solving: Decision making and problem-solving skills to innovatively manage the provision of service delivery.
  • Empathy and Flexibility: A demonstrated empathetic and flexible approach to manage the sensitivities of client and employee issues.
  • Time Management and Organisation: Time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasks.
  • Service Provision Knowledge: Knowledge of service provision, allocation and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Manual Handling: Knowledge of manual handling principles with the ability to train others.
  • Certification and Experience: A Certificate III in Community Support Services is desirable OR minimum two years industry experience and a willingness to obtain Cert 3.
