The role of a Theatre Technician is pivotal in ensuring seamless execution of live productions and events.

This individual will be responsible for setting up and operating in-house systems and equipment, supporting production crews with lighting, sound, vision, and multimedia technology.

A strong emphasis on safety will be maintained through vigilant supervision and adherence to work health and safety protocols.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining an efficient technical operation for events and productions
  • Providing expert assistance to production teams with audio, visual, and lighting requirements
  • Collaborating with clients to deliver their key objectives while managing technical aspects of their productions

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:

  • A willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and work across various shifts including weekends and weekdays
  • Familiarity with theatre or live event environments, preferably with experience in operating lighting and audio desks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience working in a similar environment; understanding of Audio and Lighting systems, knowledge of work health and safety protocols in theatrical settings.
