Product Development Specialist

This role involves providing technical expertise to support existing products and contributing to the development of new ones. As a Product Development Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and testing new products, maintaining and improving existing products, and providing technical advice to sales, marketing, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and test new products to ensure they meet quality and performance standards
  • Maintain and improve existing products to optimize their functionality and efficiency
  • Provide technical advice to sales, marketing, and customers to enhance product understanding and adoption
  • Produce sales aids and conduct product demonstrations to showcase product features and benefits
  • Plan and conduct field trials to evaluate competitive products and reduce formula process times
  • Achieve product quality at minimum cost by optimizing production processes and materials
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in surface coatings industry with a focus on product development and technical service
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent with a chemistry major, or equivalent experience gained on the job
  • Good understanding of paint technology, manufacturing processes, market trends, and customer needs
  • Practical knowledge of OPM systems
