Job Description\

As a Provisional Psychologist, you will be working across early intervention, school age, adolescent and adult services with clients who have various presentations, diagnoses and disability types.

\

You will form close bonds with your clients over a period of months or years, working together to meet their goals and celebrating their achievements.

Daily Duties\

Your day-to-day duties will involve working with allied health practitioners, support workers and family members to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients.

\

  • Assess and observe participants' challenging behaviours.\
  • Work towards increasing skills, improving emotion regulation and introducing replacement behaviours.\
\
Positive Behaviour Support Plans\

These plans focus on increasing quality of life by improving skills and enhancing independence.

\

You will develop plans, implement them with training and regular follow-up and review.

\
NDIS Psychology Services\

You will work in NDIS Psychology services, providing assessments and interventions across the lifespan and diverse range of presentations.

\

Opportunities include training in specific psychological assessments, such as Autism and ADHD.

\
Requirements\

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • \
  • NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner (or ability to become registered).\
  • Minimum Bachelors degree in Psychology and Masters.\
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses (desirable).\
  • A car and licence.\
  • A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain one before commencement.\
