Blood Transplant and Cellular Therapies Coordinator

The role of a Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 is to coordinate the blood transplant and cellular therapies team at a children's hospital. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the BTCT team, supported by senior oncology nursing and allied teams.

This full-time position involves facilitating the coordination of transplant workup, donor search, and quality requirements to expedite the patient journey toward transplant. The role includes coordinating and supervising stem cell collection and infusion as required.

As an expert clinical advisor, you will provide guidance to patients, their family, and carers on clinical management plans based on evidence and research. Quality management will be integral in planning, managing, and evaluating the service.

  • Coordinate transplant workup, donor search, and donor-related quality requirements.
  • Supervise stem cell collection and infusion as required.
  • Provide expert clinical advice to patients, their family, and carers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and evaluate clinical management plans based on evidence and research.
  • Lead the development and implementation of quality management processes.

Requirements:

  • Registered nurse with current registration.
