Health and Safety Specialist

An industry leading Aged Care provider is seeking a skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join its P&C team. The primary focus of this role is to provide operational support to achieve strategic goals, ensuring the organisation meets compliance with statutory requirements.
This position involves working closely with the WHS Lead to manage workers compensation portfolios, claim reviews, injury management, and reporting. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end workers compensation claims and entitlements;
- Evaluating suspicious claims and escalating them to insurers for investigation;
- Providing advice to internal stakeholders on non-work injury management and workers compensation issues;
- Maintaining databases in accordance with organisational policies and procedures;
- Preparing and participating in claim reviews and case meetings with brokers, insurers, and operations teams;
- Collaborating with stakeholders to maintain accurate records of hazards, incidents, and claims.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A recognised qualification in WHS, preferably with experience in managing workers compensation claims;
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills at all levels;
- The ability to work autonomously in a collaborative team environment.
