Administrative Support Officer

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join our team at Orroroo Hospital and Orroroo Community Home. As an Administration Officer, you will provide high-quality, timely, confidential, customer-focused administrative services to clients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the hospital switchboard and reception area
- Create, store, retain, and dispose of resident records and contribute to the efficient resident management system
- Maintain accurate data entry into the patient management system
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and Microsoft Office documents
- Take and type meeting minutes and agendas
- Coordinate appointments and manage correspondence and bookings
- Perform general administrative duties
Requirements
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team and with diverse stakeholders
- Empathy for individuals, integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to consumer needs
- Experience in providing professional secretarial and administrative support to executive level staff with efficiency and accuracy
- Sound data entry skills and proficiency in computer software packages
- Able to cope with a high volume of work and constant changes of priorities
- Bright and friendly demeanor with the willingness to assist with all customer and client enquiries

Selection Criteria
- DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
- National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position
Immunisation Requirements
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening, and vaccination policy in the workplace.
