About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Hospitality Service Assistant to join our team at Bupa Ballina. As a key member of our support services team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring the highest standards of care and comfort for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, adhering to legislated workplace health and safety, quality, and hygiene standards.
  • Complete required documentation and reporting, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Respond to residents' queries and requests in a timely and empathetic manner.
  • Assist with laundry duties, including loading washers and dryers, sorting linen, hanging, folding, wrapping, or ironing linen.
  • Support catering and food services, including assisting with basic food preparation, providing meals and snacks, clearing dining areas, and dishwashing.
  • Contribute to general cleaning duties, including mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal, and living areas.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in cleaning or catering is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations is essential.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts throughout the week, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Understanding of work health, safety, and hygiene practices, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
