Job Overview

As a Channels Governance Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and enhancing the risk governance framework to ensure that wealth and personal banking channels operations are within the bank's risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the risk governance framework for wealth and personal banking channels, ensuring alignment with the bank's overall risk management framework.
  • Establish, localize, and implement risk policies, procedures, and controls to manage and mitigate risks within wealth and personal banking channels.
  • Lead the incident management process, including the identification, assessment, and resolution of risk incidents within wealth and personal banking.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified issues.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of risk reports to the relevant risk committees.

Requirements:

  • Problem solving and analysis skills, especially in the design of new control instances and processes.
  • Ability to analyze, digest, and present complex issues concisely to senior and/or key stakeholders using simple language.
  • Strong influencing and arbitration skills, an interest in driving to an agreed way forward, where there may be differences of opinion or conflict.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to build trusted and credible relationships.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing risk governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrable ability for strong and collaborative teamwork, embracing the agreed team principles of credibility, honesty, approachability, and fairness.
