Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned risk management professional to assume the role of Risk Subject Matter Expert. In this position, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the effective management and mitigation of risks within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing risk policies and frameworks, identifying areas for improvement and developing revised strategies for approval.
  • Provide expert input on risk management best practices, aligning them with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to advise on governance, risk, compliance obligations, and emerging risks, while supporting risk and control assessments.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing skills and capabilities related to governance, risk, and compliance across the business.
  • Make significant contributions to the development of frameworks, tools, and processes to effectively manage and forecast risks.
Requirements:
  • University-level qualifications in business management or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a risk, compliance, or legal role, with a focus on superannuation regulation.
  • Proven ability to operate within complex risk and compliance frameworks, with a strategic and commercial approach to compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills to prepare reports on risk profiles, compliance plans, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in providing information to Boards and Directors.
