Bid Writer Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Bid Writer in our industry.

The position involves formulating bid presentations, evaluating initial enquiries with the estimating team, collating information using tender templates or customizing tenders, and tracking and managing the process until handing over final bids.

Key responsibilities:

- Bid Submission Preparation: Gathering information from internal stakeholders, preparing responses to client questions, and finalising bid documents.
- Collaborating with project teams to ensure that bid proposals align with project scope and are delivered by the prescribed deadline.
- Assist with general administration and the design management process including coordination of consultants and document control.
- Ensuring that bid submissions are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures and that all necessary approvals are obtained.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a bid writer/coordinator role within the engineering or construction industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and information.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Indesign and Canva.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • A positive and proactive approach, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing or Graphics a related field is desirable.
