Job Title: Community Engagement Specialist

At the heart of our organisation, we're seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to take on the role of Community Engagement Specialist. This key position plays a vital part in driving participation growth within the association.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage young people with basketball, fostering lasting involvement in the sport. By promoting basketball through various mediums, this role aims to increase participation rates across schools, camps, and programs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead initiatives to boost basketball participation, ensuring alignment with association targets.
  • Proactively establish relationships with schools and community groups, promoting basketball and securing new opportunities.
  • Deliver engaging school clinics, assemblies, and promotional sessions to introduce basketball to large groups of students.
  • Create and manage an effective engagement calendar, optimising coverage throughout the year.
  • Monitor, report, and meet participation growth targets set by the association.

  • A confident public speaker able to energise and engage school groups.
