Job Title: Critical Care Nurse Specialist In this challenging role, you will be working in a fast-paced Cath Lab environment, delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Cardiology team. As a Critical Care Nurse Specialist, you will have access to ongoing professional development and mentoring opportunities, enabling you to grow professionally and personally. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering safe, research-based nursing standards and practice. You will work collaboratively with the CCU team on post-procedural care for patients undergoing coronary angiograms, pacemakers, vascular procedures and more. Key Responsibilities: 
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in a Cath Lab setting, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement projects to drive excellence in patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and deliver educational programs that enhance patient care knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Act as a role model for safe practice, promoting a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement within the team.
 Required Skills and Qualifications: 
  • A minimum of 3 years' clinical experience in an acute Cath lab setting.
  • A valid NSW Working with Children check.
  • A Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent).
  • A Postgraduate certificate in critical care, cardiac nursing or interventional cardiology is highly desirable.
  • Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA.
  • A valid Australian work right.
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
  • A self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer-focused.
