The role of the ICU/PICU Registered Nurse is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care in a high-acuity setting as part of a multidisciplinary team working with specialties including trauma, ECMO, neuroscience, cardiothoracic surgery, stroke, and retrieval services.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders and nurse unit managers available 24/7 for guidance and support.
  • Participate in a rotating roster to cover 24/7 shifts, including nights and weekends, to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements:
  • Current authority to practice as a registered nurse with AHPRA.
About Our Units:

The adult ICU is a large, high-acuity 30-bed Level 6 unit serving critically ill patients across Northern NSW. The paediatric ICU is a dedicated 7-bed tertiary unit caring for critically ill children with a range of medical and surgical conditions.

We prioritise the safety and well-being of children and young people in care, fostering a child-safe environment.
