We are seeking a proactive and innovative Training Lead to join our team in Melbourne.

As a key member of our fast-growing team, you will be responsible for driving training development, coordination, delivery, project management, and artefact creation and review. Your exceptional training development and delivery skills will enable you to work effectively in a team environment producing customer-based training material.

The Training Lead is accountable for managing and executing all training requirements for our system in accordance with the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL).

You will assess SharePoint19 training and development plans to create and facilitate various training programs enhancing the effectiveness of the Australian Defence workforce for our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct job analysis, training design, and consultation to identify training needs
  • Evaluate existing training and develop materials achieving defined learning outcomes
  • Design and develop targeted training material with face-to-face training for Defence Users
  • Create and conduct trial courses for new training solutions
  • Implement effective training methods meeting Defence's training needs
  • Maintain all training documentation, including Learning Management Programs, processes, and procedures
  • Evaluate organisational performance to ensure training meets business needs and improves performance
  • Effectively communicate with team members, management, and stakeholders
  • Manage technologies and technical personnel required to manage and deliver training
  • Stay up-to-date with training needs, developments, and best practices

Qualifications and Skills:

Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, appreciation of technical regulation and governance, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coaching and mentoring abilities, computer literacy, and high attention to detail are essential.

A minimum of 5 years' experience in training and development management, current or recent experience using an eLearning authoring tool, managing technology-based LMS, and designing training using the ADDIE methodology are preferred.

Coupled with education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a proactive approach to understanding the business, identifying issues, and developing relationships to achieve company objectives.
