The Canberra Hospital Expansion Critical Services Building (CSB) is a 43,000sqm nine storey building specifically designed to deliver state-of-the-art acute clinical services at the Canberra Hospital. The CSB represents the largest clinical and operational change program to ever be implemented by Canberra Health Services (CHS).

The CSB is designed to provide state-of-the-art facilities for medical practice and will incorporate the latest advances in technology and contemporary hospital design - enabling a patient-centred model of care that will maximise safety, health outcomes, operational efficiency, engineering services.

The CSB Training Program Manager will coordinate, develop and implement a training and orientation program for CHS staff, contractors and service providers impacted by the CSB Project. The Training Program will include the full spectrum of training requirements for existing and new CHS staff. It is a critical activity which needs to be completed in a safe and efficient way prior to the relocation of clinical services into the CSB and the milestone of Go Live.

Under the direction of the Project Director Operational Commissioning, the duties the role will undertake include:

- Developing the CSB Training and Orientation Plan, targeting the complete range of stakeholders impacted by the CSB Project in readiness for Go Live.
- Co-ordinating the development of the educational and training resources including workshops, seminars, eLearning, tool kits and face-to-face training.
- Liaising with the CHS Staff Development Unit (SDU), Nurse Educators, Client Liaison Officers and Vendors to co-ordinate content development and implementation of training modules.
- Developing a detailed Training Program, trackable at an individual staff level, to manage the training requirements and track the completion status of the mandatory CSB training modules.
- Monitoring staff compliance data for completion of mandatory CSB education and training requirements and liaise and communicate compliance with clinical service areas.
- Preparing a monthly report on the status of the Training Plan and Program for inclusion into the Operational Commissioning Project Control Group.
- Undertaking other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the Project.

**Position Requirements/Qualifications**:

**Mandatory**
- A minimum of three years' experience in project or program management is mandatory.
- CHS is leading the drive to digitally transform health service delivery in Australia through the implementation of a territory wide Digital Health Record. Computer literacy skills are required which are relevant to this role as you will be responsible for completing required documentation and becoming a proficient user of the Digital Health Record and/or other Information Technology systems; once proficient, you will need to remain current with changes, updates and contingencies.

**Desirable**
- Experience in the healthcare industry and change management programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
- Have an understanding of how the National Standards and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) indicators align with this role.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role as detailed in the CHS Exceptional Care Framework, Clinical Governance Framework, Partnering With Consumers Framework and all other related frameworks.
