About the Role
This is a challenging role that requires a strategic cost management specialist to deliver retail projects. The ideal candidate will have a recognized degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar, and sound experience in cost planning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for project deliverables, including estimating, procurement, contract, and post-contract activities. They will also develop good working relationships with the client project management team and internal cost management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project deliverables through the life of the project, including estimating, procurement, contract, and post-contract activities for projects valued between $1m to $10m
- Develop good working relationships with client project management teams and internal cost management teams
- Gain a good understanding of the processes, tools, and best practice templates used to meet our deliverables
- Gain a good understanding of the terminology and ways of working within the retail sector
- Provide cost advice to clients for budget purposes, including cost planning of upcoming projects (new stores and renewals)
- Clearly understand our scope of service and carry out commission management functions at project level
- Oversee 5-6 projects within supermarket and metro workstreams
- Be the key point of contact at project level between T&T and the client delivery project manager
Requirements
- Recognized degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
- Sound experience in cost planning
- Ability to manage projects on their own and have good client-facing skills
- CostX experience
- A driving license
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, Turner & Townsend offers a range of benefits, including health insurance, flexible working arrangements, and opportunities for career development.
