
Aboriginal Community Development Leader

This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of improving the health of the Aboriginal community. As an Aboriginal Team Leader, you will have the chance to support others in their early careers and contribute to improving access to services.
Job Description:The role is within a newly established Aboriginal team, working in a supportive team environment. You will be responsible for supporting the Aboriginal community to access services, providing referrals, assistance attending appointments, and support during appointments.
The Team Leader role will work with broader health teams and report to the Aboriginal Coordinator – Mental Health Services. You will be supported with an orientation to the role, professional development opportunities, and cultural mentoring.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Strong understanding of the Aboriginal community and its needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with broader health teams
