About the Role

The position of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Program Manager requires a strategic leader to manage our team. The successful candidate will work closely with their team, providing direction and guidance in their work with local communities.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing leadership and direction to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Program Team
  • Upholding and promoting commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities
  • Guiding and encouraging the creation of locally led programs and opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families, employees, and communities
  • Enhancing existing and facilitating new opportunities for organisational change
  • Promoting a culturally safe and responsive workplace, embracing values and ethical practices
  • Coordinating the external Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Group

The ideal candidate will have an engaging leadership style, analytical approach to recommendation and decision-making, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, flexibility to pivot and address developing challenges, and strong attention to detail.
