**Vacation Student Geology Opportunity**

Are you a motivated and eager student looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of geology? We are seeking a talented Vacation Student Geology to join our team for a 12-week residential program. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, build your professional network, and contribute to real-world projects.

**About the Role**

As a Vacation Student Geology, you will assist with geological mapping and core logging, sample and analyze ore and waste materials, and update geological databases and maps. You will also participate in grade control and reconciliation activities, support blast hole logging and ore mark-ups, monitor ore movement and dilution during mining, and collaborate with mining and processing teams on daily plans.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current enrolment in a Science degree majoring in Geology, Geoscience, or Geophysics (honours strongly preferred)
  • Experience with relevant software and systems through studies or placements (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills across verbal, written, numerical, and graphical formats
  • Ability to uphold high work standards and build strong relationships with peers and leaders
  • Capacity to work independently to meet personal and team goals
  • Valid manual driver's licence
