This internship offers hands-on geological experience through on-the-job learning and participation in real projects with meaningful impact. You will assist with geological mapping and core logging, sample and analyze ore and waste materials, update geological databases and maps, participate in grade control and reconciliation activities, support blast hole logging and ore mark-ups, monitor ore movement and dilution during mining, collaborate with mining and processing teams on daily plans, and complete field and core yard assignments under supervision of a geologist.

Requirements
  • Current enrolment in a Science degree majoring in Geology, Geoscience, Geophysics (honours strongly preferred) or a similar degree.
  • Experience with relevant software and systems through studies or placements (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills across verbal, written, numerical, and graphical formats.
  • Ability to uphold high work standards and build strong relationships with peers and leaders.
  • Capacity to work independently to meet personal and team goals.
  • Valid manual driver's licence.
  • Willingness to live and work remotely.
Benefits
  • 12-week residential program from December to February.
  • Roster : 5 days on / 2 days off and 4 days on / 3 days off, 8.5-hour days.

  • Flights provided at the beginning and end of the program, and for the Christmas break.
