About Geology Internship

As a geology intern, you will be responsible for assisting with geological mapping and core logging.

You will have the opportunity to work on real projects with meaningful impact and participate in operational and personal development training.

  • Apart from gaining hands-on experience through on-the-job learning, you will also receive mentorship from experienced technical leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with geological mapping and core logging.
  • Sample and analyze ore and waste materials.
  • Update geological databases and maps.
  • Participate in grade control and reconciliation activities.
  • Support blast hole logging and ore mark-ups.
  • Monitor ore movement and dilution during mining.
  • Collaborate with mining and processing teams on daily plans.
  • Complete field and core yard assignments under geologist supervision.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment in a Science degree majoring in Geology, Geoscience, or Geophysics (honours preferred).
  • Experience with relevant software and systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to uphold high work standards and build relationships.
  • Capacity to work independently to meet personal and team goals.
  • Valid manual driver's license.
  • Willingness to live and work remotely.

  • Roster: 5 days on / 2 days off and 4 days on / 3 days off, 8.5-hour days.
