Job Title: Kinship Case Contracting and First Supports Case Manager
The Role:We are seeking a skilled Care Services Coordinator to undertake comprehensive assessments and provide recommendations to Child Protection about the suitability of kinship care placements.
The successful candidate will consider risk factors, strengths and weaknesses of the placement and identify the child’s individual needs.
This role will support children to settle within the placement and assist kinship carers in responding to the child’s safety, stability and developmental needs.
Main Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of kinship care placements
- Provide expert advice to Child Protection on the suitability of placements
- Support children to adjust to their new environments and meet their unique needs
- Tertiary qualification in social work, welfare work or related field
- Demonstrated experience working with children, young people and families with complex needs
- In-depth understanding of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and Best Interests Framework
